“We are deeply committed to indigenous knowledge and rights. We call this the ‘Ocean Renaissance,” our effort to revive the invaluable lessons we can learn from our indigenous ancestors, whose knowledge was overlooked when the Dark Ages gave way to the Europeean Renaissance.”

Our Mission

Pole-to-Pole Conservation (P2P) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to apply practical solutions to the problems facing our oceans so that people of all socioeconomic classes can thrive and live healthy productive lives.

Ultimately, we must use the oceans sustainably and regenerate oceanic systems and marine life. P2P applies science, regenerative principles, and communications to achieve our goals. We conduct our programs within the context of a changing climate. We rely on an extensive network of international government and civil society partners to achieve these outcomes. Acknowledging the depth and scope of these challenges, we develop models that can scale.
